Crossing Over

I'm crossing over into the world of camera geeks. I have become fascinated by all  that talk about f-stops, ISO, resolution, etc. Most of all, I love how the world looks through a camera lens. So I'm starting this blog to share what my lens finds. I welcome any constructive criticism because I believe that there will always be room for improvement.

The bridge picture above is my best composition attempt to date. I took this photo using my iPhone 4S. (OK, go ahead and laugh at me now. I haven't gotten my hands on a decent camera yet, but I will soon!) It was actually a crappy shot that needed some (or lots of) post processing. Considering my lack of equipment at the moment, I'm happy with the end result. I put the bridge in the top third of the photo to bring out the bold color of the grass. I think the rocks and the bridge make some interesting lines in this photo.

My new camera is expected to arrive today, so my next post will be about my equipment. I will then have officially crossed the bridge into the realm of camera geeks. Stay tuned!
